Hi,

It all started when I got married and moved from Lebanon to the US. Here, a soul-searching adventure began. As I started to try to find myself and start my new adventure without my friends and family close to me, I began trying new recipes and exploring a new side of me. I was really enjoying my time in the kitchen. I started sharing some of the dishes I made on my social media. People loved my food and that encouraged me to continue.

Naturally, I became passionate about cooking; Reading books, subscribing to magazines, looking for recipes online, and watching cooking shows on TV and YouTube. I am not totally self-taught though… I am fortunate enough to be in constant contact by wonderful cooks via phone and video calls. My mom, my mother in law, and my grandma are a huge wealth of experience I constantly refer to.

My cooking is influenced by my Mediterranean roots (don’t be surprised if I sprinkle some Zaatar on my pizza). I want to share the flavors of my world with you.

My cooking success encouraged me to start sharing more, so here we are… me typing this about page and you reading what I just wrote. I am excited to share with you and help inspire you to cook more.

Why MrsSpatuLama you ask? Well my favorite kitchen tool is the Spatula. Would it be offset, rubber, metal, or plastic, I love them all, especially the tiny ones. Also, my name is Lama… so you see what I did there! 😛
