I had some leftover bread and some milk that was about to get to its expiration date. So I wanted to use them and try a new recipe. I decided to make a Bread Pudding to enjoy it with my Husband. Let’s cook together and have some fun! 🙂
This recipe makes a medium baking pan.
Ingredients
8 slices of Bread
2 Eggs
2 cups Milk
1/3 cup Sugar
1 tbsp Butter
1 tsp Vanilla extract
1 tsp Ground Cinnamon
Pinch of Salt
Making the Bread Pudding
I started by cutting my bread into 2 inch cubes and placed them in a buttered baking pan. I mixed the eggs, Vanilla, sugar, and salt in a small bowl and then poured it over my bread. On the other side, I placed the milk and butter in a small sauce pan on medium-low heat until the butter melted.
Once this mixture cooled, I also poured the milk mixture over the bread and made sure it covers all the bread cubes. I baked the pan in a preheated oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit or 177 degrees Celsius for around 40 mins or until the edges are browned and the inside is set. I served it warm with some powdered sugar on top and vanilla ice cream scoop. It was very delicious and my husband couldn’t stop eating.
