Chocolate Pudding

This easy and quick to make dessert is both delicious and beautiful. This is a great dessert to serve your guests in any season. It is easy to decorate with any garnish because the chocolate pudding, with its rich chocolate flavor, does not need anything else to shine.

This recipe makes 6 portions

Ingredients

  •  2/3 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Corn starch
  • 1/4 Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 2 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1/2 Bittersweet Chocolate Chips
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • Optional: 1/4 cup Whipped Cream
  • Optional: Oreo Cookies

Making the Pudding

In a sauce pan off heat, I mixed together the sugar, corn starch, sifted cocoa powder, and salt until combined. I then added the milk and whisked until everything was incorporated. I then placed my pan on the stove on medium heat for about 7 minutes. At this point, my mixture had thickened to a custard like texture. I removed my pan from the heat and added my chocolate chips and vanilla. I whisked them in until the chocolate chips dissolved into the mixture. I then pored my mixture in serving bowls. I immediately covered each serving with plastic wrap, making sure that the plastic wrap touched the whole surface of the pudding to prevent the skin from forming, and placed them in the refrigerator for 3 hours.

Meanwhile, I separated the filling from the cookies of my Oreos. I crushed up the cookies into small crumbles. I mixed the filling with the heavy cream and whisked them together until soft peaks. I used the Oreo crumbles and the Oreo filling infused cream to garnish the tops of my chocolate pudding cups.

Enjoy them as much as we did! 🙂
