Monkey Bread

I wanted to make something fun, interactive, and delicious. I decided to make Monkey Bread, a pull apart bread covered with cinnamon sugar which can be served as a breakfast or a dessert. It is warming and gooey on the inside. Let’s cook together and have some fun! 🙂

This recipe makes a 9 inch Bundt Pan.

Ingredients

  • 2 cans of Grand Original Biscuits (16.3 oz each)
  • 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar
  • 3/4 cup Butter
  • Optional: 1/4 cup Walnuts (chopped)

Making the Monkey Bread

I started by cutting my biscuits into 4 cubes each. In a large Ziploc bag, I added the Granulated sugar and cinnamon, I then added the biscuit dough and closed the Ziploc bag and mixed everything together. I made sure all the biscuits are covered with the sugar cinnamon mixture.  I sprayed my Bundt pan with cooking spray, then placed the dough in the pan, along with some walnuts between the dough balls. I melted the butter and added the brown sugar to it and mixed well until combined. I then poured them over the dough. I placed the pan in an oven pre-heated to 350 degrees Fahrenheit or 175 degrees Celsius for 35 to 40 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the center is well baked. I removed it from the oven and let it cool for 5 minutes in the pan then flipped it on my serving plate. We then started to pull apart our pieces and ate it warm. It was absolutely delicious 🙂

Enjoy! 🙂
